In Service Teachers Education Programme
Introduction To CTE
The quality of education system is dependent to a large extent on the system of
teacher education. Due to this centrally sponsored scheme of teacher education
was launched in 1987 – 88 with one of the Objective to upgrade secondary Teacher
education institutions into college of teacher education (CTE) and Institutes of
Advanced study in Educations (IASEs). The aim of this scheme was to create a
sound institutional infrastructure for pre service and in service training of
school teachers
Keeping in view H.R.D. ministers Govt. of India upgraded as CTE to this
institution in 1994 – 95. Under this scheme, training programme of senior
teacher of Hanumangarh and Sriganganagar since 1999. This Institution has
conducted 203 training Programme up to the end of session 2011 – 12 and 3006
teacher benefitted from these progammes.
Under the M.H.R.D. Sponsored scheme of C.T.E. the college every year organizes a
number of Content Based and Theme Based Refresher Courses for Government
In-Service Secondary School Teachers. The districts allotted to the college from
which the Government In-Service Secondary school Teachers are deputed to attend
these courses are as follow :-

As per the guidelines issued by the M.H.R.D., a Programme Advisory Committee (PAC) has been constituted which considers and approves all the programmes to be conducted under the C.T.E. Scheme. The Following are its members at present:-
